Double cherry blossom

I went for a walk around the Imperial Palace at lunch time with some gentleman who knows well about plants and flowers. He took me to a place where a special kind of cherry blossom trees called "double cherry blossom(means Yaezakura)" were still blooming.
It has more petals than normal and usually blooms late spring. To be honest, I believe that the double cherry blossom is much more beautiful and gorgeous than the others.
It reminded me of "my" cherry tree. I have my own tree in my hometown. My parents planted it in our garden when I was born. It was small and thin at that time...like a baby tree....and grew up with me. It blooms beautifully every late spring. My parents moved out, so I haven't seen it for a long time. I miss it....
