Rambling in Roma

I got a map of Roma.
Dblk's blog ("A different tour of Roma" with nice photos and mysterious legends) is explaining about a famous church in Roma called "St. Maria Maggiore" and I was interested in the location.

(photo1)
What I'm pointing at is the church that Dblk mentioned.

Do you know you can see satellite photos all over the world on "Google Local"?
I'm looking at the satellite photo of Roma.

Can you see the winding river?
It is "Fiume Tevere" passing by the Vatican.

It's kinda strange but I'm feeling as if I'm strolling in Roma.

I'm curious to see your favorite places, so please tell me if you have somewhere to recommend to me!! :D please!!

  • I see you lile Rome, Peach.
It's really a wonderful town, I love it!
With Google Earth try to find Arles in the south of the France: it's considered the french Rome because of the old Roman Empire: there is a little "Colosseo".
    Ciao.

  • Ed,
Grazie mille! Thank you so much.

I didn't know the name of the city, so I checked it out on Google.
Ah, there is a nice Colosseo near a river. Am I right?
It looks like Italy but the internet map shows it's in the South of France.
    Oh, how interesting!
    Thanks, again.
    Ciao.<--I like "Ciao".

  • Ah ah! Wonderfoul! Now you can have a tour of Rome without losing yourself in my city. Very well! I can suggest you to see Castel Sant'Angelo (near the Vatican) or the Pantheon (I wrote also two post about them). Those are two very beautiful places in Rome. Ps: if you loose yourself, just tell me and I will be your Cicerone (guide). Ciao, Dblk

  • Erica,
I like not only Roma but all over the world; Europe, America, Asia, Oceania etc, so I'm studying English, Spansh, Mandarin. And I'm gonna start studying Italian this April on the radio(NHK is amazing, isn't it?)

Especially I like to get information from local people's journals.
Surprisingly, these amazing places are daily places for them. It's pretty interesting for me. Is it weird thinking for you?
