your camera

I'm very curious to know what kind of camera you are using? And how many cameras do you have?

My previous digital camera has been broken.
I'm just wondering if I should get new one...but I'm sitll thinking what camere I should buy?

Questions
#1 How many cameras do you have right now?
#2 Are you using a single-lens reflex?
#3 What brand of camera are you using?
#4 If you have the photo of your camera, I want to see it. Is it possible?

  • Well you probably wouldn't be interested in mine because it's not digital. :)

  • Mine is a Canon Digital IXUS 50. It works perfectly well, small, light, long run battery, good photos.
I have some silly photos in it :P

IXY(is Japanese name of IXUS. I didn't know that before your post) is my favorite brand which my friend and my sister have.
IXUS has a long run battery? That's good!

I haven't decided what I should buy yet, but I put IXUS on my list :)
    Arigatou, Bernat.

  • I don't have a camera but I want to get one so that I can send my family pictures. I want to get one that is small and tough, I'm not that worried about image quality. Hopefully it will be cheap because I'm spending all my money on school.

Ahhhh, new cameras are expensive but a little bit passé types of cameras are cheap also in Japan.
As you said, if you get a digital camera, you can send your photos to your family from Japan over the internet!
    That's such a good idea, isn't it!

    Thanks for the information, Fabi!
I thought your camera is a single-lens reflex 'cause you sometimes take photos of flowers in close-up.
I put "the Samsung one" on my list and keep thinking which one I should buy..
    Thanks:)

You can see the quality of the pictures taken by looking at my flickr, click to on the picture for more details and it will indicate which camera took that picture.

    Thanks, Piccolachan!
I checked out photos of yours and creampuffsinvenice's who you've introduced on your blog.
As you told me, I can see what camera they are using on Flickr. That's very useful!

One of the most surprising things is...most of people take photos very well without using any single-lens reflexs.
You are planning to buy a SLF? If you get one, you can take photos of Mikochan and your home-made dishes in close-up!!!

  • Last year, I bought a degital camera! I was impressed by a CM of Ayu(Hamasaki Ayumi) and bought this one. It's Panasonic, DMC-FX8. Although I bought this camera without deep thinking, this has a good function and can take beautiful pics!
I really recommned you but I think you should decide by yourself.
    Because Seeibng is believing!

    Thanks, Erika.
I've checked it out on Panasonic Homepage.
It has a powerful battery, right?
Can I guess what color you chose?
I suppose a pink one or a silver one.
I don't know if it's bingo or not.
    It's just my imagination:P

  • I don't know if it is so useful asking what cameras other people have. Different people want different things in a camera. So I'd recommend making a list of the things you want and then find the camera that matches your needs.

What kind of pictures do you want to take? Is a big zoom important? Must it fit easily in your bag? Do you want a screen that tilts? Do you want a camera that produces great looking pictures without having to process them on your computer? Are you interested in having full manual control? And so on...

In general you can't really go wrong with Canon these days. Saying that, I use a Sony and a Nikon.
My next camera will definitely be a digital SLR, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend one; they are big and bulky, and the pictures can be disappointing if you don't know to process them with software like Photoshop. Good luck!

I think different cameras have different lenses and taste. I just wanted to know a little about them from their works and cameras.
    Thanks for the advice.

  • I decided not to buy a DSLR because they were kind of expensive and I just didn't know if I really needed that equipment since I'm not a good photographer. After a few months with my current camera, I'm glad I didn't invest in an SLR. I realize that I really don't have the patience to be a good photographer. Anyways, here's the answer to your questions:

    1) How many cameras do you have right now?

    One digital camera

    2) Are you using a single-lens reflex?

Nope. It's one of those all in one cameras....it has a built in 12x zoom lens.

    3) What brand of camera are you using?

    Panasonic FZ-30.

    4) If you have the photo of your camera, I want to see it. Is it possible?

You can see some crappy photos on my blog ;-) I'm a horrible photographer.
