Have you ever...?

I went to my Mandarin school today and studied how to ask somebody's experiences like "have you ever ...?".
I REALLY enjoyed the lesson.
The key phrases are also useful to communicate with people to get to know each other.

Have you ever come to Japan?
Have you ever eaten Japanese food?
Have you ever seen Kitano movies?
Have you ever studied Japanese?
Have you ever taught your native tongue to your friends?
Have you ever studied "have you ever"?

Very interesting, isn't it?

    I have never come to Japan, but I will!
    Of course I've eaten Japanese food
    I have all Kitano movies in DVD, and seen them all :D
    I am studying :)
    Mmm no, I'm teaching Spanish but it's not my native tongue
    Of course, in Japanese "〜タ事があるか" (〜ta koto ga aru ka) (i'm not sure about it)

  • I never came in Japan. Never ate some japanese food (but I'm not sure, once I probably ate a very hot sauce called wasabi like the name of the movie with some fish). I never watched his movies (in Italy the television doesn't show them). I studied once the Japanese on my own (no, really I studied few words, is it the same? :) ). I never did it, maybe a little bit with you and with my blog readers (I answer to your question: It's always fun in italian will be: E' sempre divertente o E' molto divertente, it depends by the context). I never studied "have you ever". I hope this helped you. Ciao, Dblk

  • Ah ah! I'm smiling because you said "de oggi" instead of di oggi because. You said it in the roman slang (my slang). Very well also the italian slang now! Good! It's very useful for me will be: mi è molto utile or è molto utile per me or per me è molto utile.   • Yes Peach, Kitano won Festival di Venezia (Leone d'oro) with Hana-bi and the Leone d'argento (the second place) with Zatoichi, I think.

  • Actually I'm studying standard Chinese(普通語) that is spoken by announcers on TV. I think their pronunciations are different.

    My teacher from Beijin said that Mandarin（北京語）is a little different from 普通語. People in Beijin use "r" sound at the end of words often.
    Eg: Standard "nali"---> Beijin "nar"
    It's like Nagoya dialect?
    Shanghai is also very different.
    My email friend from Nanjing told me that his friends couldn't understand his pronunciation when he was studying northern China, so he sometimes communicated in writing. He is now helping me study writing Chinese:D

    I think it's similar in Spain. People in Barcelna ...their native language is Catalan which is a little different from standard Spanish. They have various languages/dialects.

  • Hum hum...I could understand the difference between them. In Japan, 関西弁 and 標準語 is different and we devide as 弁. Mandarin and Chinese is like that? We don't devide as language but they devide as language?
    My Korean friend also said that she couldn't understand
    Yunsona's talking... When I heard that, I was surprised at that. We, Japanese can understand different dialect somehow. That's interesting some people who speak same language can't udnerstand each other.

  • Chocobo* Um...I thought Chinese and Mandarin is completely different languages but it's similar in some points. My H/K frined can undersntad Mandarin, Chinese and Cantoness. It's common thing that he can understand three languages?
    And, can you understand Chinese,chocobo?

  • Yes, I'm confused to understand it... But I could understand vaguely.
    So it's not rare H/K people can speak Chinese and Contonese? When I heaerd that, I thought it's amazing because I thought he mastered completely different languages.

    You are from Canada but why can you speak Chinese?
